Phantom-powered with custom transformers, the new interfaces pack a wealth of audio performance into two small enclosures
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA, UNITED STATES, March 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Strymon Engineering (www.strymon.net), the Los Angeles-based manufacturer of premium products for musicians, announced the arrival of two new active direct boxes/line isolators today, named PCH X1 (mono) and X2 (stereo).
Both interfaces run on phantom power and feature a custom audio transformer per channel, delivering audiophile-quality specs and galvanic isolation.
Each channel features a ground lift switch to combat hum and ground loops on stage, as well as a two-position High Pass Filter for taming low frequencies. The HPF can be set at 80Hz to reduce rumble, or 240Hz to more dramatically carve out space in the mix. Each channel also features an unbuffered Thru output that can be used to drive an onstage monitor or separate signal chain.
Essentially two X1s in the same enclosure, the X2 features an additional phase reverse switch on the left channel, as well as a stereo sum switch that merges the inputs and sends them to the left outputs. The right output then mutes to indicate that summing is active.
Quiet and clean with a flat frequency response from 10Hz to 80kHz (+/- 0.5 dB), a max input level of +20.5dBu and a max signal-to-noise ratio of -123dBu, these new direct interfaces are ideal solutions for both stage and studio, and small enough to fit just about anywhere.

The new PCH X1 and X2 direct interfaces are available now directly from Strymon and from dealers worldwide for $199 (X1) and $299 (X2) USD.
